Short Scale Octave Mandolin

A short scale (18″) octave mandolin. Fitted with Thomastik octave mandola strings tuned GDAE. Spruce top, cypress back and sides, ebony fretboard. H brace reinforced with carbon fibre makes for a very light top.

Mandolin and Bandolim

Some of my instrument have made their way into the hands of childrens music entertainers and educators. The mandolin (on the left) lives with Anthony at the Wiggles and the bandolim (on the right – think large body mandolin) resides in the studio of Oliver Brian (Emma Memma).
